Philip Dorsett

School: Miami-Fl
Position: WR
Bio: Three-year starter who posted a career-best 871 receiving yards and 10 TDs last year. Career-high 58 receptions came during his sophomore season. Experienced punt and kick returner.
Positive: Slightly built receiver with home-run hitting speed. Quick to top speed, can turn it on in a single step and has opponents playing back on their heels. Possesses a second gear, easily runs to the long ball and extends his hands to make receptions away from his frame. Splits the seam and consistently beats opponents in a foot race. Nicely makes the over the shoulder reception at full speed without breaking stride. Adjusts to errant throws, displays good eye-hand coordination and easily tracks the ball in the air.
Negative: Has a slight frame and struggles in battles and loses out for contested passes. Never put up mind-boggling numbers in college.
Analysis: Dorsett is a home-run hitting receiver that should be very productive as a third receiver in the NFL or even the second man on the depth chart in the right system.
