Kevin Vereen

School: Northern Iowa
Position: WR
Bio: Two-year starter who finished with 31 receptions, 569 yards and 6 TDs as a senior. Junior totals included 52/750/4.
Positive: Dependable receiver with next level size coming off a disappointing campaign. Uses the sidelines well, adjusts to errant throws and snatches the ball away from his frame. Displays focus, eye/hand coordination and uses his frame to box out opponents. Exposes himself to come away with the difficult grab and makes the catch with defenders draped on him. Stays low exiting breaks and works to separate from opponents.
Negative: Lacks a quick release off the line into pass routes. Average route runner. One-speed receiver who lacks a deep burst.
Analysis: Vereen offers size, consistent hands and the ability to make the difficult reception in underneath coverage. He offers possibilities as a fifth receiver but must get his game back on track after a disappointing 2014.
