Justin Hardy

School: East Carolina
Position: WR
Bio: Four-year starter awarded varying degrees of All-conference and All-America honors since his freshman season. Coming off a career campaign that included 121 receptions, 1494 receiving yards and 10 TDs.
Positive: Natural receiver with a well-rounded game. Displays outstanding vision, consistently comes back into the clearing to make himself an available target, or finds the soft spot in the seam. Possesses soft hands, uses his frame to shield defenders and looks the ball in. Consistently makes receptions away from his frame and wins out for contested passes. Quickly transitions up the field after receptions, keeps the play in bounds and is effective running after the catch. Tough, takes a pounding, and holds onto the throw. Plays with outstanding balance and body control. Lays out or extends to make the difficult reception and possesses outstanding focus as well as concentration. Experienced returning punts. Gives effort blocking downfield.
Negative: Not a big-bodied possession receiver and will struggle handling jams at the line of scrimmage or battling bigger cornerbacks. One speed wideout with limited vertical speed.
Analysis: Based on pass-catching skills, Hardy ranks as a top 40 player but poor measurables will ultimately push him out of the initial two rounds. Hardy may never be anything more than a third receiver on an NFL roster but should have a long and productive career in that role.
