Evan Spencer

School: Ohio State
Position: WR
Bio: Two-year starter who posted career bests of 22 receptions, 216 yards and 3 TDs as a junior.
Positive: Athletic receiver with marginal production on the college level. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, quickly gets to top speed and extends to make receptions away from his frame. Gets up in a crowd for the tough grab and displays soft hands. Quickly turns up the field running after the catch.
Negative: Does not always come away with the difficult reception. Struggles to get separation and often waits for passes to come to him rather than making his way back to the ball.
Analysis: Spencer possesses the size and speed teams want in a third receiver but his inability to translate those skills onto the field may prevent him from getting out of camp this summer. At the very least he should receive practice squad consideration for future development purposes.
