Devin Gardner

School: Michigan
Position: WR
Bio: Two-year starter at quarterback who saw action at receiver during his sophomore campaign. Posted a career-best 2906 yards passing and 21 TDs as a junior.
Positive: Well-sized and athletic prospect who projects to receiver at the next level. Fluid, displays short area quickness and effective when the ball is in his hands. Displays the ability to pick up yardage with his legs, making defenders miss then getting through the open lanes. Willing blocker when necessary. Extends his hands as a receiver and works to make receptions away from his frame.
Negative: Inaccurate throwing the ball as passes spray over the place. Lacks the foot speed to be a vertical receiver.
Analysis: Gardner was an inconsistent quarterback on the college level but has the size and athletic skill to transition to receiver on Sunday's. He showed improvement during Shrine practices when placed at the position and offers the size and body type to get consideration on a practice squad.
