Desmond Lawrence

School: North Carolina A&T
Position: WR
Bio: Two-year starter who finished with receiving totals of 42 catches, 386 yards and 2 TDs while also averaging 33.1 yards on nine kick returns.
Positive: Small but quick receiver with a sprinter's background. Solid route runner who quickly gets into breaks then stays low on exit. Comes back to the ball, nicely adjusts to make errant receptions and catches the pass in stride. Shows good focus, looks the pass into his hands and effective when he extends to catch the ball away from his frame. Productive return specialist.
Negative: Does not display soft hands and struggles coming away with difficult grabs in contorted positions. Despite his 40 time and sprinter's background, does not show a second gear.
Analysis: Lawrence is a slot receiver prospect whose primary duties at the next level will be as a return specialist.
