Damiere Byrd

School: South Carolina
Position: WR
Bio: Part-time starter the past two seasons posting career-best numbers 33 receptions, 575 receiving yards and 4 TDs as a junior. Times 4.30 seconds in the 40 during Friday.
Positive: Small but explosive receiver coming off a disappointing campaign. Displays good deep speed with the ability to stretch the field vertically. Effortlessly makes receptions down the field, extending to snatch passes away from his frame. Adjusts to errant throws, tracks passes in the air and displays a sense of timing. Gets vertical and plays with terrific balance as well as body control.
Negative: Average route runner and floats exiting breaks. Gives effort blocking but gets minimal results. Struggles winning out for contested passes.
Analysis: At the top of his game, Byrd is a field-stretching receiver who would be effective in the slot.
