Raymond Hamilton

School: Iowa
Position: TE
Bio: Posted career-best numbers of 18 receptions, 175 yards and 3 TDs as a senior when he became the Hawkeyes starting tight end.
Positive: Nice-sized tight end with a developing his game. Displays good blocking vision, quick out to the second level and gets a pad on linebackers to disrupt their angle of attack. Fluid releasing into pass routes and nicely adjusts to errant throws. Displays good eye/hand coordination, takes a pounding but holds onto the ball. Runs well and plays faster than his 40 time.
Negative: Lacks footwork sliding out in pass protection. Gets tall as a blocker. Does too much grasping and clutching of opponents.
Analysis: After coming off the bench his first three seasons at Iowa, Hamilton displayed flashes in his all-around game last season. He possesses next-level size, better than average speed and offers possibilities as a third tight end.
