Neal Sterling

School: Monmouth
Position: TE
Bio: Four-year starter who led Monmouth in receiving the past two seasons. Senior totals included 55 receptions, 905 yards and 6 TDs after 57/647/6 the prior year.
Positive: Big-bodied college receiver who projects to tight end at the next level. Plays with balance, body control and uses his size and strength to separate from opponents. Displays good focus, makes the difficult over the shoulder catch and wins out in battles. Breaks tackles running after receptions to pick up positive yardage. Lays out or extends and comes away with the ball in a crowd. Outmuscles defenders for the catch, takes a big hit but holds onto throws. For the most part makes receptions with his hands away from his frame.
Negative: Must pick up the blocking intensity. Lacks the second gear and deep burst. Shows limited quickness.
Analysis: Sterling was a consistent receiver at Monmouth and offers the size and skill to be used as a move tight end/H-back at the next level.
