Jeff Heuerman

School: Ohio State
Position: TE
Bio: Three-year starter who posted a career-best 26 receptions, 466 receiving yards and 4 TDs as a junior.
Positive: Physically gifted tight end prospect who's been marginally productive on the college field. Sized well, offers the quarterback a big target and consistently slides into the open seams of the defense. Easily moves about the field, for the most part catches all passes thrown in his direction and relatively effective running after the catch. Displayed improved blocking skills as a senior, staying with assignments and working blocks. Keeps his feet moving in pass protection and stays square.
Negative: Despite his 40 time presents himself as a one speed tight end with a limited burst. Does not consistently come away with the difficult reception.
Analysis: On paper Heuerman has the size and athletic skills to develop into a starter on the NFL level but has yet to put together a complete game. He comes with a great amount of upside but must increase his productivity to be anything other than a bench player.
