Isaiah Johnson

School: Georgia Tech
Position: S
Bio: Three-year starter who missed the 2013 campaign with a knee injury. Totals last year included 64 tackles. Career-best numbers of 78 tackles and 3 interceptions came during his sophomore season.
Positive: Explosive run defending safety best between the numbers. Keeps the action in front of him, effectively reads plays and has a nice burst to the ball. Quick up the field, hard-hitting and wraps up when tackling. Reads the quarterbacks eyes, remains disciplined with assignments and effective in zone coverage.
Negative: Lacks great lateral speed and struggles getting outside the flanks. Has an injury history which must be checked out.
Analysis: Johnson possesses the size/speed numbers as well as the instincts to make a roster as a strong/zone safety and can also lend a hand on special teams.
