Malcolm Brown

School: Texas
Position: RB
Bio: Full-time starter as a senior, winning all-conference honors after finishing with 708 yards rushing and 6 scores. Also added 16 receptions. Started four games as a junior and finished with a career-best 904 yards rushing as well as 9 TDs.
Positive: Nice-sized runner with a hard-charging style. Runs North/South, aggressively attacks defenders and drives his shoulders through tackles, falling forward for extra yardage. Picks up a lot of yardage off initial contact, shows the ability to carry defenders or move the pile. Works runs trying to get as much yardage as possible from each carry. Sees the field, displays outstanding vision and runs behind his pads. Gives effort blocking.
Negative: More of a one-speed, downhill runner. Lacks the agility necessary to turn the corner. Will not beat defenders into the open field. Loses a lot of momentum changing direction.
Analysis: Brown was consistently productive for Texas and projects as a short-yardage runner at the next level who can also be used as a receiver out of the backfield.
