Kevin Parks

School: Virginia
Position: RB
Bio: Two-year starter awarded All-conference honors as a junior when he posted career numbers of 1031 yards rushing and 11 TDs. Also added 38 receptions who year. Senior totals included 745 yards rushing.
Positive: Small but hard-charging ball carrier with a versatile game. Plays with an aggressive nature, runs North/South and drives his shoulders into defenders, working to pick up as much yardage as possible. Has a burst, gets a lot of momentum going and quickly changes direction without losing much speed. Runs with good lean, strong for his size and falls forward when tackled. Catches the ball away from his frame. Effectively follows blocks everywhere. Patient, helps the quarterback sell ball fakes and plays smart football.
Negative: Possesses a short burst and not a back who will beat defenders into the open field. Comes off a disappointing senior campaign.
Analysis: Parks has size and speed limitations but is skilled as a ball carrier and receiver which could help him catch on as a situational back in the NFL.
