Johnathon Crockett

School: North Dakota State
Position: RB
Bio: Moved into the starting role on a full-time basis last season then went on to win all America and all-conference honors after setting a school record with 1994 yards. Also added 21 rushing touchdowns. Junior totals included 1277 yards rushing.
Positive: Strong downhill runner with average size/speed numbers. Keeps his feet moving on contact, gets a lot of momentum going up the field and breaks tackles to pick up yardage off initial contact. Powerful, works runs and also gives effort blocking. Solid receiver who makes receptions away from his frame. Comes back to the quarterback and works to find the open spot. Solid short area quickness.
Negative: Not overly elusive or a back who'll create yardage. One-speed runner who struggles turning the corner or beating defenders into the open field.
Analysis: Crockett is solid in all areas of the running back position and could latch onto a roster as the fourth man on a depth chart.
