Brandon Bridge

School: South Alabama
Position: QB
Bio: Alcorn State transfer who stepped into the starting line up as a senior and threw for 1927 yards and 15 TDs.
Positive: Large, strong-armed quarterback with tremendous upside. Displays speed on all his throws, airs out the deep ball and loses nothing throwing on the move. Patient in the pocket, buys time for receivers and easily escapes the rush. Sells ball fakes, displays skill running with the ball and has the speed to beat defenders into the open field. Possesses a live arm, quick release and can make all throws. Moves around the pocket to buy time, keeps his eyes downfield and locates the open receiver.
Negative: Inconsistent point of release and often slings the ball from the side. Erratic with his accuracy and constantly off the mark. Does not consistently release the ball with proper footwork and releases passes off his back foot. Does not consistently find defenders and forces the ball into covered targets.
Analysis: From a physical standpoint, Bridge is one of the better quarterbacks in this draft considering his size, arm strength and athleticism. His mechanics are awful as can be his decision-making, but at the very least Bridge should be stashed on a practice squad considering the upside potential he possesses.
