Tony Bell

School: Tennessee-Martin
Position: OLB
Bio: Three-year starter awarded All-America and all-conference honors since his junior season. Senior totals included a team-leading 76 tackles, 21 tackles for loss and 8 sacks. Junior numbers included a career-best 80 tackles.
Positive: Smallish but explosive linebacker with good instincts. Displays a solid head for the ball, explodes to the action and works hard to make plays. Uses his hands to protect himself, slides off blocks and finds ways to get the runner. Quick closing to the action and rarely knocked off his feet.
Negative: Struggles getting off blocks and taken from the action by tight ends. Stiff in his hips and not quick backpedaling.
Analysis: Bell is a terrific run-defending linebacker who also makes a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage. He'd be a fine addition as a backup on the inside of a 3-4 alignment.
