Todd Thomas

School: Pittsburgh
Position: OLB
Bio: Four-year starter who posted a career-best 73 tackles as a senior.
Positive: Athletic linebacker prospect who never elevated his game. Remains disciplined with assignments, does not bite on ball fakes and makes plays in every direction of the field. Quick changing direction, displays a burst of speed in a straight line as well as laterally and effective in pursuit. Breaks down well, quick getting to the action and nicely redirects to ball carriers.
Negative: Not a strong wrap-up tackler. Easily taken from the action by blockers. Average production on the college level.
Analysis: Early in his college career, Thomas displayed the makings of a weakside linebacker prospect for the next level but his game never progressed and in some aspects went backwards. He offers the skill and substance to line up as a 4-3 outside linebacker if so motivated.
