Matt Robinson

School: Maryland
Position: OLB
Bio: Three-year starter who began his career at safety before moving to outside linebacker. Senior totals included 34 tackles after missing the first half of the season with a shoulder injury.
Positive: Strong, forceful defender with potential as a weakside linebacker. Moves well to every area of the field, displays a good change of direction and is relatively instinctive. Quick locating the ball, shows athleticism and covers a good amount of ground. Fluid with a burst and effectively makes plays in the open field or defeats blocks to disrupt the action behind the line of scrimmage.
Negative: Does not consistently wrap-up tackling. Slow getting off blocks. Has struggled with injury throughout his career.
Analysis: Robinson is an athletic prospect who's been productive when healthy. He offers potential on the outside in the 4-3 alignment and could be an eighth linebacker/special teams player at the next level.
