Marcus Rush

School: Michigan State
Position: OLB
Bio: Four-year starter who posted a career-best 7.5 sacks as a senior. Freshman totals included career highs 58 tackles and 12 tackles for loss.
Positive: Hard-working, blue-collar lineman who has a place at the next level. Works hard in all aspects, shows an array of moves getting off blocks and gets his hands up to knock passes away if he cannot get to the quarterback. Plays with excellent pad level, quickly changes direction and has a closing burst. Fast off the edge, effective in pursuit and constantly goes hard.
Negative: Undersized and taken from the action by tight ends. Not a big time playmaker and needs others around him to be successful.
Analysis: Rush is an athletic prospect who grades out well in the area of competitiveness and attention to detail. He offers potential as a designated pass rusher and is the type of prospect who should do well on coverage units.
