LeBranden Richardson

School: Bethune-Cookman
Position: OLB
Bio: Three-year starter awarded all-conference honors since his sophomore season and named as an All-American last year after 41 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and 8 sacks.
Positive: Smallish but explosive college defensive end who fights hard to make plays. Plays with good pad level, gets leverage on opponents and quickly gets his hands up, effectively working them to protect himself. Breaks down well and rarely knocked off his feet. Moves well in every direction, easily alters his angle of attack and shows ability in pursuit. Fires off the snap with a quick first step. Effectively diagnoses plays and quick to close.
Negative: Small and can be outpositioned by tight ends. Primarily used up the field in college.
Analysis: Richardson is a relentless defender who made a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage, disrupting the action. He's small, but should get consideration as a designated pass rusher at the next level.
