Geneo Grissom

School: Oklahoma
Position: OLB
Bio: Part-time starter the past two seasons. Senior totals included 39 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks after 40/9/4.5 the prior year.
Positive: Hard-working defender best making plays in the box or up the field. Plays smart, instinctive football, effectively diagnoses the action and remains disciplined with assignments. Shows a good change of direction, uses his hands to get off blocks and effectively makes plays in open space. Slides down the line of scrimmage in pursuit, plays with good pad level and shows a short burst of speed.
Negative: Lacks a sustained burst and marginally effective chasing the action for any distance. Inexperienced in coverage and does not look comfortable backpedaling.
Analysis: Grissom did a solid job at both defensive end and linebacker for Oklahoma the past two seasons and offers potential on the outside of a 3-4 alignment.
