Aaron Davis

School: Colorado State
Position: ILB
Bio: Three-year starter awarded all-conference honors as a senior after totaling 118 tackles. Junior numbers included a career-best 120 tackles.
Positive: Hard-charging, run-defending linebacker with poor size/speed numbers. Breaks down well, effectively uses his hands to protect himself and shows a quick change of direction. Explodes up the field filling gaps in run defense, plays with suddenness and works hard defending the run. Quickly collapses outside the box in pursuit of the action, plays faster than his 40 time and sells out to make the tackle. Covers a lot of ground and relatively effective in space.
Negative: Overmatched in coverage by bigger tight ends or faster running backs. Has limited growth potential.
Analysis: Davis is a hard-working college linebacker who got the most from his physical skills but lacks great upside for the next level. He offers possibilities on the inside of a 3-4 alignment but must perform exceptionally well on special teams.
