Solomone Kafu

School: BYU
Position: G
Bio: Came to BYU in 2008 then went on a two-year mission. Struggled with a knee injury last season and played in just five games. Started 13 games the prior year.
Positive: Large, explosive blocker who plays with good pad level. Keeps his head on a swivel, shows good vision as well as awareness. Quick out to the second level, effective blocking in motion and shows the ability to pull across the line of scrimmage and create space. Stays square, plays with good lean and fights with his hands throughout the action. Displays the ability to slide laterally and jolts defenders with terrific hand punch.
Negative: Gets narrow-based in his setup at times. Must improve his blocking balance. Rarely played last season with a knee issue. Older prospect.
Analysis: Kafu is a nice-sized lineman with solid movement skills who plays much more athletic than his computer numbers. He offers potential in a variety of systems and at the very least should get consideration on a practice squad if his knees are healthy.
