T.Y. McGill

School: North Carolina State
Position: DT
Bio: Started eight games last season totaling 37 tackles. Posted a career-best 50 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and 5 sacks as a sophomore when he started 10 games.
Positive: Quick, low to the ground defensive lineman with potential as a 3-technique tackle. Fires off the snap with a terrific first step, keeps his feet moving and works his hands throughout the action. Plays with good pad level, fluid if asked to twist or stunt and shows a variety of moves getting off blocks.
Negative: Looked poorly conditioned and overweight at times. Minimally productive the past two years.
Analysis: As a sophomore McGill displayed real signs of being an NFL prospect but his game has since fallen off. He offers possibilities as a backup lineman in a four-man front if football is a priority.
