David Parry

School: Stanford
Position: DT
Bio: Two-year starter who finished with a career-best 34 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks last season.
Positive: Understated defensive line prospect who gets the most from his ability and makes an impact. Fires off the snap with a terrific first step, powerful in his lower body and keeps his feet moving up the field. Explosive, bull rushes offensive lineman off the ball and forces runners to change their angle of attack. Plays with good lean, effectively uses his hands to protect himself and easily holds his ground. Defeats double-team blocks, or occupies the gaps and allows linebackers to make plays on the ball.
Negative: Lacks natural bulk and will be engulfed by opponents. Average pass rusher.
Analysis: Parry is a hard-working lineman who does the little things well and consistently makes positive plays, many which do not show up on the stat sheet. He offers potential at a variety of interior positions on the defensive line and could end up as one of the surprise rookies in 2015.
