Chance Carter

School: Northwestern
Position: DT
Bio: Rotated into the lineup as a senior after starting 12 games during his junior campaign when he posted a career-best 34 tackles, 5 tackles for loss and broke up 5 passes.
Positive: Swift moving defensive tackle who plays a soft game. Fires off the snap with a quick first step, plays with good pad level and works his hands throughout the action. Fluid getting outside the box and shows ability in pursuit. Smooth moving about the field and consistently plays with good pad level.
Negative: Struggles handling blocks and easily controlled at the point of attack. Does not show an aggressive nature to his game. Relegated to rotational status as a senior after starting most of his career.
Analysis: When motivated at the top of his game Carter shows potential as a backup 3-technique lineman but must quickly get back on track or he'll be cut from camp early this summer.
