Martin Ifedi

School: Memphis
Position: DE
Bio: Three-year starter who missed four games with a knee injury last season. All-conference selection the past two years.
Positive: Underrated defensive line prospect who could be used in a variety of systems. Fires off the snap, possesses natural pass rushing skills and makes a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage. Effective up the field or laterally, and easily gets outside the box in pursuit of the action. Fights with his hands throughout the play, shows a variety of moves getting off blocks and quickly finds the ball handler. Plays through the whistle and consistently productive.
Negative: Gets tall in his stance, makes himself an easy target for opponents and easily neutralized at the point. Average speed in pursuit of the action. Slow disengaging from blocks.
Analysis: Ifedi was consistent on the college level and comes with some upside for the NFL. He offers possibilities for a variety of schemes and is a late-round selection who could surprise as a rookie this season.
