Kristjan Sokoli

School: Buffalo
Position: DE
Bio: Two-year starter who finished with a career-best 32 tackles last season.
Positive: Relatively athletic defensive line prospect with marginal production on the college level. Fires off the snap with a terrific first step, keeps his feet moving and works his hands throughout the action. Plays smart football knocking away passes if he cannot get to the quarterback. Explosive at the point of attack. Shows an array of moves getting off blocks.
Negative: Lacks a quick and fluid change of direction. Struggles getting off blocks and can be handled by a single opponent. Does not consistently play with proper pad level.
Analysis: On paper Sokoli looks like a legitimate NFL prospect but does not translate those numbers onto the field. Primarily a straight-line defender, he may be worth keeping on a practice squad for future development.
