C.J. Olaniyan

School: Penn State
Position: DE
Bio: Two-year starter who totaled 43 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and 3 sacks as a senior. Career-best 5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss as well as 50 tackles came during his junior season.
Positive: Undersized college defensive end best making plays up the field. Fluid moving in every direction, effective in pursuit and shows the ability to bend off the edge. Plays with leverage and effectively uses his hands to protect himself. Agile with a quick change of direction. Explosive at the point of attack.
Negative: Lacks size, strength and can be handled by tight ends. Gets off this snap with just an average first step. Possesses only a short burst of speed that he cannot sustain.
Analysis: Olaniyan is an undersized college defensive end who lacks the speed to play linebacker and will have to establish himself as a designated pass rusher this summer.
