Troy Hill

School: Oregon
Position: CB
Bio: Moved into the starting lineup last season and finishing with a career-best 71 tackles while also breaking up 18 passes. Terrific special teams player early in his Oregon career.
Positive: Understated cornerback prospect with terrific ball skills. Instinctive, effectively diagnoses plays and quickly tracks passes in the air. Displays a sense of timing and anticipation, fires out of his plant and has a quick closing burst. Effective facing the action, feisty and works hard to make plays. Gives effort defending the run.
Negative: Overmatched by larger receivers. Lacks elite speed and struggles in downfield coverage.
Analysis: Hill was a consistent contributor the four years he played at Oregon but comes with marginal size/speed numbers. He's a good football player rather than a great athlete and as such should help out at the next level as a dime back/special teams player.
