Eric Thomas

School: Troy
Position: WR
Positive: Three-year starter who registered 66 receptions, 992 yards, and 12 TDs as a senior. Collected 29 touchdowns in his college career. Career-best 67 receptions came during his sophomore campaign. Efficient, fluid receiver best running underneath routes. Displays strong hands with the ability to pull the pass from the air. Comes back to the ball out of breaks, makes catches away from his frame, and displays good hand-eye coordination. Effective running after the catch, keeping the play in bounds and working to pick up as much yardage as possible.
Negative: More of a one-speed receiver and not a downfield threat. Marginal downfield blocker.
Analysis: Thomas was consistent at Troy State who showed a nose for the end zone, offering reliable hands and run after the catch skill. He's an underrated receiver prospect with enough ability to make it as the fifth man on the depth chart.
