Chandler Jones

School: San Jose State
Position: WR
Positive: Three-year starter who posted career-best totals of 79 receptions, 1356 yards, and 15 TDs as a senior. Slightly built but explosive receiver with solid hands. Quickly releases off the line of scrimmage, immediately gets to top speed, and runs effective routes. Displays sharpness into breaks, stays low on exit, and comes back to the ball to make himself an available target. Possesses a burst of speed, flashes ability as a vertical receiver, and easily makes the over-the-shoulder reception downfield. Works to come away with catches in a crowd, and displays good timing. Gives effort blocking.
Negative: Struggles in battles. Average run after the catch skill. Limited experience as a return specialist.
Analysis: Jones has the size and style to line up as a slot receiver at the next level and would enhance his potential this summer by producing on special teams.
