Bruce Ellington

School: South Carolina
Position: WR
Positive: Lead South Carolina in receiving the past two seasons. Junior totals included 49 receptions, 775 yards, and 8 TDs after 40 receptions, 600 yards, and 7 TDs the prior year. Experienced return specialist. Small but incredibly quick skill player who creates yardage with the ball. Works to come free, separates from defenders, and makes himself an available target. Easily adjusts to make receptions in contorted positions. Extends his hands to catch the ball away from his frame. Nifty, agile, and displays skill running after the catch. Immediately gets to top speed and has a burst. Plays big and works to come away with the ball.
Negative: Misjudges the ball in the air and at times struggles to track the pass. Lacks a second gear and breakaway speed. Loses out in battles.
Analysis: Ellington comes off a pair of productive seasons and possesses the physical skill as well as football ability to line up in the slot at the next level. Production as a return specialist will only enhance his ability to make a roster.
