Bennie Fowler

School: Michigan State
Position: WR
Positive: Two-year starter who posted a career-best 622 yards and 6 touchdowns as a senior. Nice-sized possession receiver with an inconsistent game. Settles in the open space of the field or comes back to the ball to make himself an available target. Gets up in a crowd and fights to come away with the ball. Easily makes catches in stride displaying a sense of timing as well as eye-hand coordination. Extends or exposes himself to big hits in order to come away with the ball. Gives effort blocking downfield.
Negative: One-speed receiver and lacks a burst. Gives up on routes rather easily. At times unnecessarily leaves his feet to make the reception. Does not consistently come away with the tough catch.
Analysis: Fowler flashed ability the past two seasons but never dominated or took his game to the next level. He possesses the size necessary to line up as a fourth but must put together a complete game before that happens.
