Jimmy Gordon

School: Buffalo
Position: TE
Positive: Part-time starter as a senior after being first-team tight end during his sophomore and junior campaigns. Nice-sized tight end best as a blocker. Strong at the point, flashes power, and easily neutralizes opposing defensive lineman. Works blocks hard, displays good vision and attacks assignments. Fluid releasing off the line as a receiver and makes catches with his hands. Offers the quarterback a big target.
Negative: One-speed tight end only effective a few yards from the line of scrimmage. Lacks agility, not a natural knee bender, and at times struggles to finish blocks.
Analysis: Gordon is a tight end in an offensive lineman's body. He's a terrific blocker, which will get him consideration as a third tight end for a roster.
