Jacob Pedersen

School: Wisconsin
Position: TE
Positive: Full-time starter the past two seasons. Finished with 39 receptions and 541 receiving yards as a senior. Sophomore totals included a career-best 8 touchdown catches. Efficient pass catching tight end with marginal size/speed numbers. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, quick to top speed, and displays terrific focus as well as concentration. Makes the difficult catch in a crowd looking the pass into his hands and adjusts to errant throws. Sneaky fast with the ability to get downfield as a receiver. Gets vertical and contorts to make the difficult reception. Gives effort blocking, bending his knees and exploding off the line into blocks.
Negative: Not a true deep threat who strikes fear into defenders. Lacks size and strength, and gets average results blocking.
Analysis: Pedersen was a consistent performer for Wisconsin and has the tools necessary to make an NFL roster as a third tight end.
