Cameron Brate

School: Harvard
Position: TE
Positive: Competitive three-year starter who's contributed since his sophomore campaign. Solid blocking tight end. Plays with good lean, effectively uses his hands, and knocks defenders from their angle of attack or seals them from the action. Strong at the point, stays square, and works through the whistle. Quickly releases off the line of scrimmage into pass routes, better than average playing speed, and extends his hands to make catches away from his frame. Makes the difficult catch in a crowd and looks the pass into his hands.
Negative: Lacks the desired measurables for the next level. Slow and not a downfield threat. Also lacks bulk and strength as a blocker. Does not possess much upside potential.
Analysis: Brate was a consistent producer at Harvard and has enough skill to get consideration as a backup tight end/H-back.
