Cornelius Lucas

School: Kansas State
Position: T
Positive: Two-year starter who lined up primarily at left tackle. Athletic blocking prospect with an unpolished game. Moves well on his feet, displays good footwork off the edge, and solid lateral blocking range. Sets with a wide base, plays with quickness, and stays square. Strong at the point, controls opponents, and keeps defenders in front of him. Easily steers defenders from the action and shows the ability to adjust.
Negative: Rough around the edges, seems unsure of himself and rarely finishes blocks. Gets tall as the play proceeds and does not make good use of blocking angles.
Analysis: Entering the season Lucas was overrated by most and never elevated his game as a senior. He's an athletic prospect who does not consistently play at a high level nor do the little things well. Lucas comes with upside and is worth keeping on a practice squad to develop his game.
