Christian Bryant

School: Ohio State
Position: S
Positive: Three-year starter who played in just five games last season before suffering a broken ankle. Quick, smooth safety with a complete game. Possesses solid ball skills, reads the quarterback's eyes, and immediately locates the pass in the air. Loses nothing transitioning back to the ball. Fast both in a straight-line or laterally, and possesses an excellent burst of recovery speed. Remains disciplined with assignments, shows a good head for the ball, and is constantly around the action. Explosive and quick getting to the play. Works hard and effectively diagnoses plays.
Negative: Inefficient and takes improper angles to the play. Occasionally bites on ball fakes. Coming off a serious ankle injury.
Analysis: Prior to his senior campaign, Bryant showed a solid game defending the run or covering the pass. He lacks classic size and comes off a serious injury, but if able to regain full health, he'll have a place as a third safety on an NFL roster.
