Tim Flanders

School: Sam Houston State
Position: RB
Positive: Kansas State transfer who's been a star running back for Sam Houston State the past four seasons. Patient, elusive runner that's also a threat catching the ball out of the backfield. Possesses tremendous vision and instincts, works runs, and finds a way to squeeze yardage when seemingly nothing is available. Creative, consistently finds the open running lanes after patiently waiting for blocks develop. Quickly cuts back against the grain without losing momentum, keeps his feet moving, and works runs. Makes defenders miss, shows good awareness, and consistently runs upfield. Solid receiver who makes catches with his hands away from the frame.
Negative: Lacks great corner speed and struggles beating defenders into the open field. Average burst through the running lanes.
Analysis: Flanders is a versatile, one-speed runner who's more football player than athlete. A lack of speed limits him at the next level but Flanders is consistent with the little things, which could help him snatch a roster spot as a fifth back.
