Storm Johnson

School: Central Florida
Position: RB
Positive: Moved into the starting lineup last season then posted five 100-yard rushing games, finishing the season with 1139 yards on 213 carries as well as 14 touchdowns. Big-bodied running back best between the tackles. Runs north-south, does not go down without a fight, and falls forward when tackled. Displays a burst, breaks arm tackles, and rarely brought down by the first defender. Strong, grinds it out on the inside, and keeps his feet moving. Displays good vision, finds the openings, and works to get through the cutback lanes. Adequate receiver out of the backfield.
Negative: Not a back who makes defenders miss and struggles to elude piles. Loses momentum when he must quickly change direction. Must improve his ball security.
Analysis: Johnson was relatively productive as a rotational runner early in his career then stepped up his game once he moved into the feature role last season. He's a Pittsburgh Steelers type of running back who could have a long career if he learns to hold onto the ball.
