Jeremy Hill

School: LSU
Position: RB
Positive: Started 11 games last season, winning all-conference honors after carrying the ball 203 times for 1401 yards and 16 TDs. Freshmen totals included 142 attempts, 755 yards, and 12 TDs. Explosive runner with a developing game. Powerful, keeps his feet moving on contact, and carries the pile. Punishes opponents on the inside. Waits for blocks to develop, finds the running lanes, and gets a lot of momentum going. Agile, gets around tackle, and a solid receiver out of the backfield. Has a fluid, smooth style with limited wasted movement. Solid straight-line burst of speed, which enables him to quickly get through the hole and beat defenders into the open field.
Negative: Cannot create yardage or improvise when things break down. Lacks the corner speed necessary to beat defenders around the outside. Struggles when he must change direction or quickly cut back against the grain.
Analysis: Hill is a terrific interior runner with the size and strength to handle a lot of carries. He has limitations but will be productive in the right system.
