Jeff Scott

School: Mississippi
Position: RB
Positive: Rotational starter who played in just eight games last season after struggling with leg and back issues. Finished the year with 493 rushing yards, and 2 TDs. Junior numbers included career-best rushing totals of 846 yards, and 6 TDs as well as 23 receptions, 177 yards, and 1 score. Small, swift skill player productive as a ball carrier and receiver. Will pick and choose his spots on the inside. Easily makes defenders miss and creates yardage. Follows blocks everywhere and possesses the speed necessary to turn the corner. A natural pass catcher out of the backfield. Makes catches with his hands and creates running after the catch.
Negative: Small. Easily brought down at the point of attack by a single defender or knocked off balance by the initial hit. Coming off a disappointing senior campaign.
Analysis: Entering the year, Scott was stamped as a potential priority undrafted free agent by scouts but his game slid for variety of reasons. He's dangerous in space with potential as a third-down back/return specialist.
