James White

School: Wisconsin
Position: RB
Positive: Started 12 games as a senior, totaling 1444 yards rushing with 13 touchdowns. Came off the bench as a true freshman in 2010 to produce 1052 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns. Versatile runner with an underrated game. Displays outstanding vision, instincts, and does not make mental mistakes. Finds the running lanes. Better than average strength carrying the ball and slices through the traffic to pick up positive yardage. Quick footed. Easily sidesteps defenders and strings several moves together. Legitimate receiving threat out of the backfield with strong hands. Displays a tremendous amount of quickness and elusiveness handling the ball.
Negative: More quick than fast, and not a running back who can run to daylight. Ineffective short-yardage runner.
Analysis: In many ways, White was the forgotten man on the Wisconsin roster but is a prospect with a complete game who should quickly produce as a third-down back in the NFL.
