David Oku

School: Arkansas State
Position: RB
Positive: University of Tennessee transfer awarded all-Conference honors in 2012 after posting 1061 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns. Senior totals slipped to 511 yards and 6 TDs. Relatively productive college runner with marginal skill for the next level. Displays outstanding vision and effectively follows blocks everywhere. Squeaks through the small holes of the offensive line, runs low to the ground, and plays North-South. Solid receiver out of the backfield.
Negative: Displays a limited burst. Lacks the speed necessary to turn the corner. Coming off a disappointing senior campaign.
Analysis: Entering the season, Oku was given a late-round grade from scouts but turned in a UDFA performance in 2013. He lacks the size and speed for the next level, though his pass-catching skills will give him a chance to catch on as a fourth running back.
