David Fluellen

School: Toledo
Position: RB
Positive: Full-time starter the past two seasons after seeing significant action as a rotational back early in his Toledo career. Career-best 1498 rushing yards came during his junior campaign. Patient, instinctive ball carrier who works runs. Waits for blocks to develop, quickly finds the running lanes, and shows a burst through the hole. Turns it on in a single step, runs low to the ground and uses blocks everywhere. Runs with a compact style and keeps his feet moving on contact. Solid receiver out of the backfield, consistently making catches away from his frame.
Negative: Not an overly creative runner or a back who will make something out of nothing. Really doesn't pick up a lot of yardage off initial contact. Struggled with injuries the past two seasons.
Analysis: Fluellen was a consistent performer on the college level and comes with a versatile game. If he stays healthy and shows durability, he's the perfect complementary or situational runner for the next level.
