Darrin Reaves

School: Alabama-Birmingham
Position: RB
Positive: Two-year starter who led Alabama Birmingham in rushing since his sophomore season. Totals last year included 928 yards rushing and 12 TDs. Also added 29 receptions for 294 yards with two more scores. Posted a career-best 1037 yards rushing and 13 TDs as a sophomore. Underrated runner with a solid game. Runs hard on the inside, shows a burst through the hole, and keeps his feet moving on contact. Runs through arm tackles, does not go down without a fight, and falls forward when tackled. Has a compact build and a strong style. Runs low to the ground with excellent balance and body control. Displays vision, will pick and choose his spots on the inside, and consistently runs north-south. Shows shiftiness and weaves through the traffic to find the open lanes. Solid receiver who adjusts to make catches away from his frame.
Negative: Not a big-bodied runner who will move the pile. Does not show great speed.
Analysis: Reaves was very productive as a ball carrier and receiver the past two seasons and has enough skill to make an NFL roster as a fourth back.
