Dae'Quan Scott

School: James Madison
Position: RB
Positive: Four-year starter who positively affects the game as a runner, receiver and return specialist. Patient, waits for blocks to develop, and displays both vision and instincts carrying the ball. Finds the cutback lanes, possesses the ability to make defenders miss, and works hard trying to pick up as much yardage as possible every time he handles the ball. Agile, can turn the corner, and easily avoids piles. Solid receiver out of the backfield. Shifty with a quick change of direction and weaves through the small openings. Game impacting punt returner.
Negative: One-speed runner and cannot run to daylight. Shows a limited burst. Cannot beat defenders around the edge.
Analysis: Scott was very productive since his freshman season but lacks the speed to be anything other than a situational player in the NFL. His running, receiving, and punt return skills could help him grab hold of a roster spot.
