Bishop Sankey

School: Washington
Position: RB
Positive: Two-year starter awarded all-America honors last season after finishing the year with 1870 yards rushing and 20 TDs, averaging 5.7-yards on 327 carries. Added 28 receptions, 304 receiving yards, and 1 TD last season. Sophomore totals included 1439 yards and 16 TDs. Ultra-productive ballcarrier with a solid game. Patient, waits for blocks to develop, and displays outstanding running vision. Finds the lanes, hits the hole hard, and a shifty ballcarrier with the ability to get through to the close spaces. Elusive, easily changes direction, and a multi-cut ballcarrier. Runs north-south, displays a burst, and keeps the play in bounds. Effective pass catcher out of the backfield, adjusting to errant throws then extending to snatch the ball from the air. Helps the quarterback sell ball fakes and gives effort blocking.
Negative: Lacks long speed and cannot run to daylight. Not a strong ballcarrier who picks up much yardage off initial contact.
Analysis: Sankey is a smooth running back with a flowing style and the ability to create yardage. He shouldered the workload at Washington and offers ability in a variety of offensive systems at the next level. His receiving skills and football instincts are added value.
