Stephen Morris

School: Miami-Fl
Position: QB
Positive: Two-year starter who matched a career-best 21 passing touchdowns as a senior. Totals of 3345 yards passing and 21 touchdowns came during his junior campaign. Struggled with an ankle injury throughout the 2013 campaign. Athletic quarterback with a next-level arm. Patient in the pocket, senses the rush, and steps up to buy time. Throws the ball with velocity, zips the outs, and drives deep passes with speed. Will go to checkdown receivers. Displays a sense of timing and does not have receivers waiting on the ball. Elusive with the ability to avoid the rush or make plays with his legs.
Negative: Steps out of throws rather than properly following through, which results in errant passes. Stares down the primary target on occasion. Shows questionable field vision and not always on the same page as his receiver.
Analysis: After a terrific junior campaign and with expectations high, Morris showed a lot of inconsistency last season. He possesses the physical skills to play at the next level but will need time before he's NFL ready.
